Marvin entered the world of professional sports and figure photography after a season-ending sports injury. Shortly afterwards, he enrolled in Fleischer Art Institute in Philadelphia, PA. There, he polished his skills that were learned as a photographer’s assistant on the sporting field.
He has a background in athletics with the USAFL, AMNRL and USA Rugby, as well as a former middle distance runner. Being a personal trainer and both print and artist’s model has helped in his knowledge of movement and the human anatomy.
Figure photography is also a major interest. “I’ve worked with models that didn’t perceive themselves to be models, or attractive. Everyone is beautiful; you just have to know how to shoot them.”
Currently a freelance photographer, his work has been featured with the American National Rugby League, North American Football League, the Philadelphia Sport and Social Club and Philadelphia STYLE Magazine. |
